In the city, it appears that DeSantis voters and Ravenstahl's most dependable demo, African-Americans, came together for Obama.
Displaying these maps next to ones showing racial majorities, educational attainment, and median income would be sad and terrific proof that Rendell was correct in his assessment of who Pennsylvanians would vote for.
Came together? maybe. That would dispute the idea out there that some voters just vote as the ACDC endorement goes. I think the local AA can vote cohesively on the larger offices (and can be very fractured on very local offices), but that cohesivemess should not imply it's not voting in a way reflective of who it wants to support.. as yesterdays results would confirm. When it wants to vote against the endorsed Democrat, it does. Ask Mike Dawida. IMHO.

I, for one, hope that the Fox Chapel-Hill District coalition hangs together. But I won't hold my breath.
