I don't think it was a debate really. I think the problem was described well by Cramer. Essentially he said, I'm doing a TV show. The TV Show isn't targeted at smart investors. It's targeted at people who will watch it. Jim Cramer doesn't have a social responsibility to educate people dumb enough to make picks based on 6 words on his show.
Cramer essentially said that and took his deserved beating from Stewart for not educating. He deserved the beating on the daily show, but he's kept the nice bonuses from CNBC (that are also deserved).
