Also, opensecrets.gov has made available clean datasets to the public.Who knows if I will have time to chomp on this, but this could be interesting. It's also a reminder. How long have we been waiting for true electronic campaign finance records from the city and/or the county? This being the IT capital of the world we like to think. Must be an awfully long ride from Wean Hall to the City/County Building.

Please make my dreams come true and tell me this will be a Semantic Web project.
Perhaps a new law which requires all elected officials to use Google Docs. Then all their information can be shared and read.
Of course "mudkips" for a password would have to be reevaluated.
