Pollution vs. Income
Just what I am pondering. From more recent work out of the Cleveland Fed: Manufacturing and Pollution: Trends in Old and New Industrial Centers is this graphic:

As reflected in the chart and noted several times in the text, around 2003 Pennsylvania started breaking from the rest of the pack with more rapid income gains. I'd love to know more details about that.
I came to PA in 2003. Just saying.
