How many stadia does it take to.....

I wonder how many folks would trade the G20 for a win last night? Or at least how many would trade it to win the series?

Too much big stuff one could look at: pensions, assessments, transit.. Bah, the Penguins lost.

All I have today is a fun picture a friend just gave me. I think this photo is unique.. as in never been seen before. Note the plane strut you might be able to see some of the ghosting from reflection in the window. It may be hard to see from the scan (click on it for a larger image), but for those following the comment thread on the previous post about the convention center, this photo has only the old convention center there along the river.

and some more:

I would not trade. I cringed when I read Congressman Doyle make the statement that the "G-20 is as big as the Penguins in the Stanley Cup!"... try maybe 20 times bigger than the Penguins appearing in the Stanley Cup finals... you can't even compare the two. Any loser city can host a championship (or runner-up) pro sports franchise... see Detroit and the Red Wings. Landing the G-20 is actually meaningful to what goes on here in Greater Pittsburgh... and being that it is the biggest international politics event to ever happen here... it has the potential to reap great rewards for Pittsburgh.

About that ghosting? I believe Murphy was mayor when the photo was taken, so he bears responsibility. Right, Matt?

No, MH is not MattH. For a while I was doing 'M (not Matt) H', but that got old and nobody seem to be confused.

Matt H worked for a city council campaign. I made jokes in the comments when ADB posted a picture of that candidate that looked a bit like a Captain Morgan ad.
