The longest mile

This week's Newsweek covers the difficulty we seem to be having at completing the bike trail around Sandcastle...   I thought there was progress?   Said to be the remaining piece needed to complete the Great Allegheny Passage though there is a detour out there around the closed Pinkerton Tunnel

Reminds me.. I still ought to write up a trip report on the bike ride to DC last summer.

Thanks for the posting, Chris. The trail is a real gem. I remember riding the first section of the PA trail about 20 years ago and thinking WOW. Then we rode the first PA century on the trail and once again were in awe of the diverse landscape. Didn't realize there was still that one sticking point.
I've ridden most of the trail in 35-100 mile increments here and in Maryland.
Can't wait to read your account of it.
