Delta Does Da 'Burgh

I could have gone on quite happily without ever knowing that somebody put an airline magazine on the internet. I thought the whole point was you only read them when trapped.

Nice exposure for PGH, but just so you all know these magazines do these stories in exchange for selling advertising. They only published this b/c VisitPittsburgh and ACCD ponied up some cash.

Certainly a win moment for the PRA and ACCD, whom I assume are behind much of this. Something nice to read for all seven passengers on that flight to Paris.

Airline magazines do get read though. Thoroughly and often repeatedly in some cases. The digital revolution may have changed this somewhat, but ten years ago I was an itinerant consultant/ air travel ninja, and those magazines were a conversation staple among the breed. They were a social locus for professional travelers who couldn't follow TV shows or be assured of the other's sports team preferences. And just about every casual traveler will flip through it at some point. At least during the taxi moments when they make you turn off your gizmos.
