Did you hear about anybody getting a job, or losing one? You can analyze those instances as likely trends.

That's what $17 Trillion ($90 trillion TUL) in debt looks like & they're asking to run up more debt!

Interesting that somehow the world keeps turning without the plutocrats, just as it will keep turning when we default on our $32 trillion debt once the interest rate goes from 0% to .00001%.

I'll pop the popcorn for everyone here if the interest rates actually goes to just 1 or 2%, what a train wreck we will all witness! Roman Empire 2.0, hope Nero still has his fiddle.

The Roman Empire split, West and East. Then the western end failed and restarted with the Holy Roman Empire. What I'm saying is that we'd be Roman Empire 3.0 or 4.0, depending on how you count. And that's about the most accurate portion of your comment, so far as I can comprehend it. There are far better historical analogies than the decline of Rome.

Also, the average interest rates the U.S. is paying on government dept is about 2% right now.

You're so off on so many things, I'm beginning to doubt you know how to pop corn.

@MH burnt your "dept" corn I see.

You need to look up "Carry Trade" & see how the Fed finances $17/$90 trillion, its ok not too many of us realize how to finance trillions.

"We have had essentially 0% interest rates since December 2008, and the Fed plans to keep it that way through 2015. Can we have 0%, short-term interest rates for six full years?"

Its ok, you can come live with me when they margin call our trillions, just call my family the Medicis LOL.

Not only am I doing willing to live in your house, I'm not going to open that URL because I assume it has a virus. You're confusing interest rates the fed is offering at the reserve window with interest rates the treasury is paying on the debt. And confusing mentioning "carry trade" with making an argument. It's just way too broad of a term to be useful.

The only 'virus' is in our Federal budget, oh wait Pelosi's House and Reid's Senate hasn't passed one of those since Hanna Montana was rated G.

The link wasn't for you it was for those who save their vitriol for those:

Bankrupting our children under trillions of debt.

Forcing you to buy something from a Canadian website that doesn't work except for identity theft.

Threating that if you don't buy what you don't need w/ 5 years in prison, the equal of endless IRS audits & more.

Oh but remember Obama isn't gonna have any new taxes LOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLL.

Yea don't dare get mad at those folks, just get mad at posters who claim the emperor has no clothes.

If it was still Pelosi's House, a budget would have been passed. I'm not sure what the rest of the things you are talking about are in relation to reality, but have fun. You'd think that when we aren't even 11 months past when the Republicans were running TV ads attacking Obama for cutting Medicare, they'd feel a bit obligated to discuss why we should believe they got religion on the budget, but I guess not.

What would I need waived and how is providing health insurance to those without it making some animals more equal than others?

Who is 'providing' me health insurance?

For free? Really? You offering to pay my fine? Paying for health insurance is something we could do 5 years ago, so what's changed?

Where's my waiver? Where's my 1 year delay? If this is such a great deal why hundreds of waivers, don't those 'pigs' deserve Obamacare too?

Think "Animal Farm"...

The employer mandate is an attempt to keep businesses from off-loading their healthcare, but it isn't essential to the functioning of the system. The individual mandate is absolutely essential to the functioning of the system, which is why there are subsidies for those who can't afford it and why opponents of Obamacare are attacking it blindly. You can't have community rating (i.e. enrollment open to all without pre-existing conditions) without an individual mandate. It's got nothing to do with Animal Farm and everything to do with adverse selection.

If you're up to it, please try to reconcile your two views:

1. Interest on the debt will destroy America.

2. Making people who can afford it pay for their health coverage, instead of leaving it to Medicaid if they get really sick is wrong.

They're exactly opposed to each other.

I can't afford it & all your hot air doesn't qualify me for a subsidy. Nor does it help the stratosphereic national debt, increasing it by $.6 trillion over the next decade.

Are you about what you qualify for? Subsidies go up to 4x the poverty level. There's a calculator.

Anonymous Anonymous said...

That calculator doesn't = "WAIVER"

or technically: "You work for Nancy Pelosi & know what a stinky fish this bull**** is so she broke the law and got it waived for you".

But hey nice toy calculator! Does Nancy know she can use that? Maybe Sasha & Malia can use it!

I didn't get waived from anything. But, if you wanted to be cool like Rep. Pelosi, you should try to get the insurance. Then you'd both have insurance subsidized by the government.
