A work in progress, but anyone want to guess what this Pittsburgh-centric time series is:

I'll admit I am stumped. Most of the time series I can think of are not denominated in integers within a range of 0 to 3, and the few ideas I had didn't pan out. I'm sure it seem obvious in retrospect.

Yes equally stumpted, it could be in 000s or millions but the lines are so exact, there is no 1.5 or 1 3/4 etc.

what did Pgh or the metro have 1 of from 1956 to 1978 but 0 in 1971 and then 2 from 1979 until 1986 back to 1 from 1987 to 1993 0 in 1994 and then 1 from 1995 until 2006 with 2 in 2002/2004, 3 in 2007 and 2009 to present with 2 in 2008?

No, sorry. That's not it, but am suprised it wasn't Wiz's guess.

But indeed the data can only be in whole numbers.

Wow I am surprised. With such great leadership like the esteemed Mr Shields I thought the graph would be a straight line at zero. Don't know how those slipped by him.
